27/04/2010 - 5:30pm
27/04/2010 - 7:00pm

Do you want to buy or sell locally grown fresh food?

If so, you are invited to attend a meeting at the Bathurst Council Chamber, on Tuesday 27th April 2010, commencing at 5.30pm

The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss ways in which locally grown fresh and organic foods could be marketed on a daily / weekly basis between farmers markets.

Possibilities include –
·      Through existing wholesale and retail outlets
·      Through an exclusively local retail shop
·      Through a growers cooperative association
·      Through a community / consumers cooperative association
·      Through farm-gate sales / trails

At the meeting small groups will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each possibility and seek volunteers to develop a plan of action.

We hope you will help us to help you and the development of the Bathurst Region by participating in this meeting.
