In Transition, a 50-minute UK movie about the Transition Town movement around the world, will be showing in Bathurst at 5.30pm on Wednesday April 7 in the Courtyard room at the Bathurst RSL. The film will be introduced by Clare Power from Transition Towns Blue Mountains, who is doing a PhD on the TT movement. There will also be a presentation from Patrick Forman about making Bathurst a cycle friendly city.

Transition Towns is an international movement concerned with local responses to peak oil and climate change.

Do you want to buy or sell locally grown fresh food?

If so, you are invited to attend a meeting at the Bathurst Council Chamber, on Tuesday 27th April 2010, commencing at 5.30pm

The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss ways in which locally grown fresh and organic foods could be marketed on a daily / weekly basis between farmers markets.

Possibilities include –
·      Through existing wholesale and retail outlets

Bruce is a lecturer in the School of Communication at Charles Sturt University Bathurst. Earlier in his life Bruce was a rice farmer and a market gardener.
